| THE BUILDING |

The Niccolini Palace houses the Residenza del Moro on the piano nobile. All the rooms have been completely restored and renovated in keeping with the original splendour and beauty of this historical building.

The first mention of the Palace dates back to the 16th century when various residences in Via del Moro were bought by rich Sommaia merchants and converted into a large mansion
In the early 1700s the property was purchased by the Marquises of Bourbon del Monte di Santa Maria: their family coat of arms is still present today, on the corner of the building between Via Fossi and Via della Spada. The Marquis Lorenzo Niccolini became the owner in 1863, carrying out extensive renovations on the building that continued for many decades.

In the present day, this is a magnificent historical building

with its original exterior dating back to the 16th century, a

superb internal garden dating as far back at the 1400s,

with a marvellous staircase added in the 17 th century.

Frescoes, stuccoes and original furnishings all add to the

appeal of the residence, a genuine collection of works

of art ranging from the 1400s to the 1800s that embellish

the interior making your stay a truly wonderful

experience.
